Frequently Asked Questions
About The Artist
1. What are your artistic influences and what inspires you as an artist?
I'm deeply inspired by my spiritual life. As a little girl I experienced the Divine in nature and this has reminded a big part of life. Visionary painters such as Sulamith Wulfing and Susan Seddon-Boulet have profoundly influenced my work. I love the spiritual themes and explorations in their work and use of colour in creating ethereal and dreamlike landscapes.
Old Master painters such as Wiiliam Bougureau and the Pre-Raphaelites, especially John William Waterhouse have influenced my use of colour and form. I also admire the work of Georgia O'Keeffe and Josephine Wall is a contemporary favourite and also Rassouli. I am very much drawn to work that has beautiful use of colour.
2. What mediums and materials do you use?
I use watercolour for my paintings and inks for sketches. I fell in love with watercolour from the very beginning. I love the flow of the medium, I like to think it gives the Divine space to flow into my paintings.
3. Can I commission a painting?
Yes! I accept a limited amount of commissions per year. These are beautiful and individual paintings for Heart-opening and healing. You can read more about them here.
